Empagliflozin reduces the risk of a composite of cardiovascular death or hospitalization for heart failure in patients with heart failure and a preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) with or without diabetes. That's the finding of late breaking research presented in a Hot Line session today at ESC Congress 2021 and published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
